I felt very dismissed. There was also a comment made about removing my uterus if it was a life-saving measure which struck me as odd given the current political climate regarding reproductive rights. It may have been a valid point but it made me uncomfortable.

This was my first time seeing this doctor. She was very thorough and took her time with us. She was easy to get along with and very approachable about my concerns.

Dr. Shelton didn't rush me with any of my concerns and was very attentive and focused during my Appt. She made great eye contact and was an active listener.

She spoke to me like an intelligent, competent human being without any assumption that I wouldn't understand what she was talking about. We had a very useful conversation about various medical options for birth control and the recent research based on a recent meta-analysis about membrane sweeping.

My experience with Dr. Shelton was okay. Dr. Shelton did listen to my concerns and spent a reasonable amount of time with me addressing my concerns. My only complaints would be that her internal examination techniques were a little rough, and her level of warmth was less than other doctors that I've seen at this practice. I'm not saying that she wasn't kind because she was. I'm just saying, during this visit, her personality was not as upbeat and soft as other doctors that I've had in the past. I personally didn't mind seeing Dr. Shelton for the reasons that I was coming in for, and I will continue to see her. However, I might inform others with complex issues, when recommending Dr. Shelton to do research on her level of experience. I am assuming that she is younger and may be less experienced than other doctors.

Dr. Shelton is the very best. She is kind, great at explaining everything that happens and a pleasure to work with!
