The Tanner Medical Center, Inc. Board of Directors has adopted two resolutions recognizing Tabernacle Baptist Church and Mill Town Music Hall for their partnerships in assisting the health system with hosting more than a dozen vaccine clinics at their facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last year, as rapid rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine moved quickly across the state, Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton and Mill Town Music Hall in Bremen volunteered to make their facilities available to Tanner to use as public vaccination sites.
Through these partnerships, Tanner’s healthcare providers were able to administer nearly 15,000 public vaccinations at Mill Town and Tabernacle Baptist — which have not only protected the health and lives of residents throughout the region, but is also helping to curb the number of cases in this pandemic that has heavily impacted millions of communities around the world.

They have proven to be a formidable force against this virus by helping ensure access to the vaccines to keep our communities safe — as we all work together to beat COVID.”
On Monday, Howard and the board of directors presented Mill Town Music Hall director Steve Bennett and Tabernacle Baptist Church senior pastor Dr. Stephen Allen, who holds a doctorate in ministry, with the special resolutions.
Since the vaccines became available last year, Tanner has been at the forefront of the region’s response team and has hosted 15 public vaccination clinics between these two locations — and nearly a dozen more clinics at its hospitals for public and employee vaccinations.
At Tabernacle Baptist Church, Tanner provided more than 11,700 vaccinations — administering thousands of individual doses of Pfizer’s two-shot vaccine over a course of weeks. And at Mill Town Music Hall, Tanner providers delivered more than 2,700 doses of the Moderna two-shot and Johnson & Johnson single-shot vaccinations at its clinics hosted over the last several months.
