Adult psychiatric services in Villa Rica are more accessible as Yesha Thakkar, DO, joins Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center at 209 Cooley Drive, Suite 201.
Dr. Thakkar earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. She completed an internship and residency in psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. She also holds a bachelor’s in biology from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Thakkar and her colleagues at Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center work with children, adolescents and adults who have mental health and addiction issues — including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorders, PTSD and schizophrenia. Treatments includes psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapeutic intervention and medication management.
In addition to psychiatry services at Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center locations in Cartersville, Carrollton and Villa Rica, counseling services are available at Willowbrooke Counseling Center locations in Carrollton and Villa Rica. Willowbrooke at Tanner also provides inpatient, partial hospitalization, outpatient and substance abuse programs for a wide range of patient needs.
