José Espinel, MD, FACS, Joins Carrollton Surgical Group

Leading-edge surgical care and compassionate support for the west Georgia and east Alabama communities are expanding with the addition of José Espinel, MD, FACS, to the patient care team at Carrollton Surgical Group, part of Tanner Medical Group.
Dr. Espinel is board-certified in general surgery. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador, and completed his residency in general surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. Dr. Espinel also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. Prior to joining Tanner, Dr. Espinel practiced in Columbus, Ga. and Dalhart, Texas. He is fluent in Spanish.
