‘Move It Mondays’ Kicks Off Again March 2
Thursday, January 30, 2020
Do you have a hard time finding the motivation to start or stick to an exercise routine?
Tanner Health System’s Get Healthy, Live Well and the West Georgia Track Club has the perfect program for you.
Move It Mondays is an eight-week program that turns walkers into joggers. Participants will add distance and increase their pace over the course of eight weeks.
Not only will there be experienced runners there to help, but you’ll also find encouragement and motivation through the relationships you develop with other participants.
The program can help even the most casual walker pick up the skills and improve their fitness to run a 5K.
The next session of Move It Mondays will kick off with an open track meeting on March 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the Tanner Community Benefit conference room, located at 303 Ambulance Drive in Carrollton.
The event is an opportunity to meet the coaches and experienced runners from the West Georgia Track Club and the staff from Get Healthy, Live Well who will help participants pick up their pace.
Regular sessions will begin March 9 at 6 p.m. on the walking trail at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton. Coaches and participants will gather on the walking trail across from the hospital’s Clinic Avenue Parking Deck on Ambulance Drive, next to the emergency department.
