Rajesh Mathew, MD, is joining Laura Larson, MD, and the patient care team at Infectious Disease Specialists of West Georgia, a Tanner Medical Group practice.
Dr. Mathew is board-certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo in Geneseo, N.Y., and bachelor’s degrees in medicine and surgery from the Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute in Chennai, India. Dr. Mathew completed his internship at New York Medical College in Queens, N.Y., his residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, and his fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
With Infectious Disease Specialists of West Georgia, Dr. Mathew will provide expanded outpatient clinical care for patients in need of specialized infectious disease services. As part of Tanner Medical Group, the practice’s patients also have access to all the resources of Tanner Health System, including the inpatient and critical care services available at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.
