Tanner Advanced Wound Center Reopening Monday, Nov. 21
Wednesday, November 16, 2016
After several months of remodeling within the Patient Services Building on the Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton campus, the Tanner Advanced Wound Center is ready to serve patients in its new home.
The service closed temporarily earlier this year to relocate from its former facilities at the corner of Clinic Avenue and Dixie Street to the Patient Services Building at 119 Ambulance Drive, just across from Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton’s ambulance entrance.
The new location offers more parking and easier access to the advanced care patients need to help them heal.
Tanner Advanced Wound Center treats many types of wounds, including:
- Diabetic wounds
- Pressure ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Arterial ulcers
- Vasculitic ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Complex soft tissue wounds
- Infected wounds
The service provides an aggressive, outcome-based approach to wound management, including a multidisciplinary team of specialists that include general surgeons, podiatrists, infectious disease specialists and others.
Tanner Advanced Wound Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), providing specialized care for an even broader range of wounds and conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, refractory osteomyelitis, osteoradionecrosis, soft tissue radionecrosis, compromised skin grafts and skin flaps and more.
