Tanner Hospitalist Group Adds Four Physicians

Tanner Health System is ensuring patients have a safer stay with four new physicians joining its hospitalist service.
Agnes Nambiro-Kasolo, MD, earned her medical degree with recognition in research from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, N.Y., and completed her residency at New York Hospital Medical Center in New York.
Samir Patel, MD, earned his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominca, West Indies and completed his residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Shital Patel, MD, earned his medical degree from Sardar Patel University’s Pamukhswami Medical College in Gujarat, India, and completed his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. He is board-certified in internal medicine and previously worked for Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
Yogesh Patel, MD, earned his medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies and completed his internship and residency with the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg, Pa.
Tanner Intensive Medical Services is the exclusive provider of hospitalist services at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica and Higgins General Hospital in Bremen. Hospitalists are physicians, usually internal medicine specialists, who exclusively serve patients who have been admitted to the hospital. They work alongside admitting physicians and specialists, ordering tests and procedures and monitoring patient conditions, ensuring a fast response or change of treatment if a patient’s condition changes.
Studies have shown that hospitalists help hospitals achieve a number of important quality metrics, including reduced lengths of stays, helping patients return home faster.
