Willowbrooke at Tanner Presents 'Suicide Prevention and Coping Across the Lifespan' Feb. 22

Willowbrooke at Tanner is hosting "Suicide Prevention and Coping Across the Lifespan," a half-day seminar on Feb. 22.
The morning seminar will be from 9 a.m. to noon, and the afternoon seminar will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica Education and Conference Center, Classrooms A and B.
Participants will:
- Learn the empirically supported risk factors and warning signs for suicide. Variations in risk factors and warning signs based on age/developmental level will be discussed.
- Learn empirically supported protective factors and coping strategies for suicide. Variations in protective factors and coping strategies based on age/developmental level will be discussed.
- Be provided information regarding strategies for assessing suicide risk.
- Learn strategies for effectively communicating with someone who may be considering suicide.
- Be provided information on local and national suicide prevention resources.
