Billing Updates 2026

A simpler way to manage your healthcare bills

We are moving to Tanner MyChart for billing and payments to make it easier to manage all your health information in one secure place.

To understand what’s changing, it helps to understand how you're billed. Tanner Health includes two parts: Tanner Medical Group for doctor visits and Tanner Medical Center for hospital services. Because these services are billed separately, you may receive more than one bill.

Our transition to Tanner MyChart will bring everything together and help simplify how you view your bills and make payments.

Below, you will find important dates and information about what is changing, what to expect and what steps you need to take if you are enrolled in a payment plan.

You’ll also see updates about our new billing statements that begin on July 1 — as well as a new phone number for Text-to-Pay messages beginning July 15.

Key dates to know

May 1, 2026
Who is impacted? | AccessOne account holders

Starting May 1, you will no longer be able to create a new AccessOne payment plan, and new charges for visits on or after May 1 cannot be added to existing plans. All new plans must be set up in Tanner MyChart.

If you have a payment plan before May 1, you will continue making your monthly payments to AccessOne, and they will continue issuing your billing statements.

July 1, 2026
Who is impacted? | All patients who receive a hospital bill

Avadyne Health will continue sending billing statements for services billed before July 1 until those balances are paid. For hospital services on or after July 1, Avadyne Health will no longer send billing statements.

Tanner Medical Center will begin sending billing statements and notifications based on your Tanner MyChart preferences. We encourage you to enroll in Tanner MyChart so you can choose how you want to receive your billing information and manage your account.

During this transition, you may receive hospital statements that look different until all previous balances are resolved.

July 15, 2026
Who is impacted? | All patients who use Text-to-Pay

Tanner Medical Center will stop sending Text-to-Pay messages from the current number (#89-523).

Do I need a Tanner MyChart account?

What if I choose not to sign up for Tanner MyChart?

You can still manage your billing without Tanner MyChart, but some features will be limited.

Without MyChart:

  • You will receive billing statements and notices by mail.
  • You may have fewer payment options available.
  • You may need to pay by mail, over the phone, online or in-person.

Tanner MyChart gives you access to your balance, detailed billing, payment history and more at any time. Without it, you may need to contact customer service and request this information.

You may also miss payment reminders, which could lead to late or missed payments.

The Snowball Effect of Overmedicating in Older Adults

Many older adults take several medications to manage chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis.
