Injectable Filler Therapy

Injectable fillers can be a safe alternative to surgery for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, the forehead and around the eye area. Some may be used to enhance lip contour by giving a fuller appearance and defining the lip border.

Fillers also can be used to add volume to facial structures as needed.

We recommend the hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Restylane Defyne®, Restylane Refyne®, Restylane Lyft™, Restylane Silk, Juvederm Ultra®, Juvederm Ultra Plus® and Voluma.

These products break down slowly and can last from eight to 18 months, depending on the application site.

Other fillers such as Restylane Kysse for lips, are also available for specific treatment goals.

Areas that may benefit from dermal filler therapy:

  • Frown lines
  • Smile lines
  • Marionette lines
  • Vertical lip lines
  • Crow’s feet
  • Acne scars
  • Thin lips
  • Soft tissues that have lost fullness (cheek support)

No allergy testing is required; consultation and treatment can be performed the same day. Most patients return to normal activities the same day with only slight redness and a minimal risk of bruising noted in the treatment areas.

If you're preparing for your first Pap smear or it's been a few years since your last one, you might be wondering: • What happens during a Pap smear? • Will it hurt? • Do I still need one if I feel healthy? These are common — and completely normal — questions. The good news is that a Pap smear test is quick, simple and one of the most effective ways to prevent cervical cancer.
