Tanner Health, Healthliant Ventures and Acuity Behavioral Health announced they have entered into an agreement for Tanner to deploy Acuity’s Behavioral Health Acuity Index (BHAI) product, a patient acuity and workload measurement solution, for their 92-bed Willowbrooke at Tanner in-patient psychiatric facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia.
Willowbrooke at Tanner offers a complete range of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient behavioral health services, as well as counseling and psychiatric care. Willowbrooke at Tanner operates one of the largest inpatient care facilities in the region, including a specialty inpatient care unit for young adults ages 18-25. The facility also offers specialized mental health treatment programs for mood disorders and acute needs that are trauma informed, as well as individual, group and family services.
Willowbrooke at Tanner will use the BHAI as a driving measure to quantitatively improve the care and safety of patients and nursing staff across their psychiatric care programs.
“Willowbrooke at Tanner is one of the largest inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities in the state, and it maintains a critical role in treating the rising numbers of patients in our state suffering from mental illness,” said Wayne Senfeld, executive vice president of behavioral health at Tanner Health. “We are excited to partner with Acuity and to work closely with them and other behavioral health systems utilizing the BHAI as a core model to continuously improve the care and the safety of our patients and dedicated staff.”
“We are excited to be working with the superb team at Willowbrooke at Tanner,” said Jim Szyperski, Acuity Health’s CEO. “Wayne and Willowbrooke at Tanner Executive Medical Director Kenneth Genova, MD, are nationally recognized leaders in the care and treatment of mental illness, and their decision to partner with Acuity further validates the BHAI and highlights the critical need for precise and transparent patient classification within inpatient psychiatric facilities.”
