Olusegun Sheyin, MD, is joining Tanner Heart & Vascular Specialists.
Dr. Sheyin is trained in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiovascular CT, cardiac MRI, nuclear cardiology and vascular interpretation. He earned his bachelor’s in medicine from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Ibadan, Nigeria, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria, and at Harlem Hospital Center in New York, New York, affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Following an extra year at Harlem Hospital Center as the chief internal medicine resident, Dr. Sheyin completed his cardiology fellowship at the University Hospital, London Health Sciences Center, Western University in London, Ontario. His special interest is in advanced cardiovascular imaging, having received his nuclear cardiology training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He also completed level II training in cardiovascular CT at Johns Hopkins University’s Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore and cardiac MRI level II training at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
At Tanner Heart & Vascular Specialists, he joins the patient care team of Christopher Arant, MD; Onaje Greene, MD; Mujeeb Jan, MD; Rajat Jhanjee, MD; Chelif Junor, MD; Shazib Khawaja, MD; and William Rogers, MD.
The practice has locations in Carrollton, Villa Rica, Bremen, and in Wedowee, Alabama.
