Tallapoosa Family Healthcare, part of Tanner Medical Group, continues to advance primary care in Haralson County as Joshua Wilburn, MD, joins its team of internal and family medicine specialists.
Dr. Wilburn earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., where he also completed his internship and residency in internal medicine. Dr. Wilburn graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s of science in biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Wilburn’s scholarly accomplishments include presenting medical, clinical and interdisciplinary research at Mercer University School of Medicine and Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes-Spalding Pediatric Hospital and work at the Macon Volunteer Clinic.
Dr. Wilburn, a Haralson County native, is returning home to Tallapoosa to practice family and internal medicine, joining the patient care team of Gary Hendricker, MD; Tara Howell, MD; and Kristi Sons, NP-C.
