Expanded access to behavioral health services is coming to west Georgia as Tanner Health System and Willowbrooke at Tanner open a new behavioral health practice in Villa Rica.

Behavioral Health of West Georgia will be the practice of Stephen Dudley, MD, and John Miller, MD. Both have recently served patients through Willowbrooke at Tanner’s inpatient services and will be expanding to outpatient care with the new practice.

Dr. Dudley is a psychiatrist with three board certifications. He earned a fellowship in addiction psychiatry from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, completed his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and completed his residency at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. He has completed a fellowship in electroconvulsive therapy at Emory University in Atlanta and has received additional training in psychopharmacology from the American Physician Institute. Dr. Dudley is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. He previously served as the psychiatry department chair and chief of psychiatry at Cape Fear Health System in Fayetteville, N.C.

Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, Wis., and completed his internship and residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City, where he served as the chief psychiatry resident. Prior to pursuing his medical degree, Dr. Miller taught science and mathematics at the Cahaba School in Hoover, Ala.

The practice serves as part of Willowbrooke at Tanner’s extensive line of outpatient services, with full access to the inpatient and outpatient services Willowbrooke at Tanner offers, ensuring patients have access to the behavioral health services they need at an appropriate level of treatment.

The practice will be located in Suite 103 of the Tanner at Mirror Lake medical office building at 101 Quartz Drive in Villa Rica.
