Tanner Hospice Care Earns ‘Superior Performer’ Award
Friday, August 2, 2019
Tanner Hospice Care has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2018 calendar year.
SHP is considered a leader in data analytics and benchmarking that drive daily clinical and operational decisions. Since 1996, SHP has helped more than 7,000 organizations nationwide raise the bar for healthcare performance.
The annual SHPBest award program acknowledges hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2018 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,000 hospice providers.
“SHP is proud to present the SHPBest awards to our top-performing customers,” said Rob Paulsson, SHP president. “We commend these organizations for their continuous focus on delivering the highest quality of care to their patients.”
Tanner Hospice Care is a nonprofit, in-home hospice care provider serving Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, Heard and Paulding counties.
“We’re so proud of our team for ensuring our neighbors throughout west Georgia have access to compassionate, qualified and capable end-of-life care,” said Loy Howard, president and CEO of Tanner Health System. “Hospice is a crucial part of our mission to provide care to every member of our community.”
Only six other hospice providers in Georgia were among SHP’s Superior Performers. More about the SHPBest awards program is online at shpdata.com/hospice/shpbest-cahps-hospice. More information about Tanner Hospice Care is online at TannerHospiceCare.org.
