All kids deserve to thrive physically and emotionally. Healthy Haralson aims to help children, teens and adults recognize and respond to symptoms of mental health issues, while also increasing access to behavioral health services for youth. Youth Mental Health Programs When a child is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, we are here to help with early intervention and expert counseling. Willowbrooke at Tanner offers free behavioral health training to individuals who work with children or adolescents. Through Youth Mental Health First Aid USA, an eight-week public education program, participants learn to recognize risks and early warning signs of adolescent behavioral health challenges and respond effectively in a crisis. School-based counselors are embedded in area school systems, employed by Willowbrooke at Tanner to make mental health services more accessible for area youth. The Junior Leadership Task Force, a partnership with community institutions, encourages young leaders to play a role in addressing community-wide challenges, such as behavioral health.
