The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) at Tanner Health is a dynamic group of patients, family members and caregivers working together to refine the patient experience. Through virtual and in-person meetings, we collaborate to provide valuable insights and uphold patient-centered care.

Eligibility Criteria

To join PFAC, you must:

  • Be a former hospital patient, family member or caregiver or currently receiving services with Tanner Health.
  • Commit to attending regular monthly meetings.
  • Share Tanner's commitment to excellence in patient-centered care.
  • Be positive and share different perspectives.

How to Join

Ready to make a difference? Start your application process here. Limited spots available, but all applications are considered for future openings. For questions, contact the patient experience department at patientexperiencedept@tanner.org or call 770-812-8676.

Application Process Requirements:

  1. Complete the PFAC/Volunteer Services application.
  2. Provide a valid driver’s license or government ID.
  3. Undergo an online background check.
  4. Upon approval, complete the Volunteer Onboarding forms packet.
  5. Attend an interview with PFAC coordinators and members.
  6. Complete orientation.
  7. Commit to attending monthly PFAC meetings and events.

Mission: We will advocate for collaboration between patients, families, caregivers and healthcare providers for a remarkable patient experience at Tanner Health.

Vision: We strive to continually improve the patient experience through comprehensive compassionate care at Tanner Health.
