Home Health Services

Home health allows you to continue healing in the comfort of your home. Specialized nurses, therapists and home health aides visit your home to help with your recovery.Home health is an alternative to lengthy hospital stays or frequent visits to a doctor’s office. We can help if you have difficulty leaving home, need skilled nursing care or in-home therapy services.

Home health services

Tanner Home Health offers comprehensive in-home medical care, including:

  • Assessment and maintenance of the home for safety
  • Diabetes education
  • Feeding
  • Intravenous (IV) therapy
  • Medical social services
  • Occupational therapy
  • Personal care, including bathing and comfort measures
  • Physical therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Wound care

Our team of home health professionals is on call 24 hours a day, offering around the clock help whenever you need it. Our services are accredited by The Joint Commission.

Getting home health services

You may be referred for home health services by your doctor. A doctor may refer you to home health after an office visit or following a hospitalization or rehabilitation stay.

We offer in-home medical care in Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, Heard and Paulding counties. The services you receive will be based on your physician’s referral and our assessment.

Affording home health care

We make home health services accessible to every member of our community. You can qualify for home health if you’re currently enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid.

We also research your benefits for your current insurance plan or health maintenance organization (HMO). Financial assistance may also be available to help you afford your care.
