Impacting our Community

Tanner Health System is a nonprofit healthcare provider. Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve — not to generate revenues for shareholders.

Property Holdings

Tanner Health System takes a thoughtful and deliberate approach when purchasing and developing property.

As our organization has grown from a single hospital with limited real estate holdings to a five-hospital health system serving communities across west Georgia and east Alabama, our philosophy has remained unchanged.

  • All real estate holdings are carefully evaluated to ensure alignment with our not-for-profit, charitable mission.
  • To ensure we meet the healthcare needs of the communities we serve, we place a priority on acquiring land that is located near or complementary to our network of hospitals, clinics and outpatient facilities.
  • Consistent with our vision of promoting health throughout the community and making our facilities a destination for wellness, we work to incorporate features such as nature trails and greenways for walking or biking where possible.

The list of parcels here reflects acreages already in development or active use for healthcare delivery, or land we plan to develop at a future date.
